Anticipation is building as the opening of our breathtaking, new 50,000 sqft school building draws closer. Throughout July the construction team has been hard at work, putting the final touches on this remarkable expansion. The progress made in just a few short weeks is nothing short of astounding! Over 500 people were able to get a sneak peak at the July Open House!
Exterior Elegance
The exterior of the building is now complete, with the stone and siding beautifully in place. Final trim pieces are skillfully added, adding a touch of finesse to the structure. As the construction team puts the final touches on the metal panel roofs, the building eagerly awaits the arrival of students, excited to create a vibrant and nurturing learning environment.
Welcoming Surroundings
The school's surroundings are being carefully transformed into a welcoming environment. Initial planting has commenced in the parking lot, creating a green and inviting space for students, families, and staff. In addition, exterior metal railing has been thoughtfully installed along the walkways, ensuring safety and aesthetics go hand in hand.
Interior Flourishes
Inside the building, the transformation is equally impressive and where it really shines. The gym floor is now fully installed, awaiting the sounds of laughter and activity from eager students. The painting is complete, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere within the walls. As the kitchen is delivered and installed, we are so excited to launch our new meal program! Finishing Touches
The team is carefully completing the building entry's LVT flooring, setting the stage for a warm and inviting atmosphere when students arrive in the fall. Inside, the custom woodwork and desk installations are nearing completion, ensuring a functional and comfortable learning environment.
Next Steps: Unveiling the Dream
As the last tasks are being checked off, Hickory Hill Academy eagerly looks forward to the next steps. The final coat of asphalt pavement for the parking lot will soon be applied, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience for everyone. Installation of public sidewalks will soon connect the building to the broader community.
A Vision Realized: Coming Fall 2023
The dream that started over three years ago is now on the verge of becoming a reality. Construction began in June 2022, and this visionary project is finally coming to fruition. The entire Hickory Hill Academy community is excitedly counting down the days until they can open the doors of this exceptional space to welcome their students.
