MR JOE

EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSISTANT DIRECTOR & SUMMER PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Joe Monteith is the Early Childhood Assistant Director and Summer Program Director at HHA. Joe has worked in early childhood for 7 years and has been serving in his role of Assistant director for a year and a half. Joe graduated from UW-Platteville with a Physical Education Degree with minors in Health and Adaptive Physical Education. He also has an emphasis in coaching, which he hopes will come into play once our sports teams are up and running. Mr. Joe is a first generation college graduate.

Joe grew up in the rural town of Richland Center. His connection to nature, outdoors, and play are still strong today! His love of sports and competition inspired him to pursue teaching and coaching others. During his time at UW-Platteville, Joe taught Platteville's Special Olympic basketball team and was the Assistant Basketball coach at the private school he attended growing up. Basketball is one of Mr. Joe's favorite sports to play and watch.

While attending UW-Platteville, he married his wife Abby in 2015. Upon graduating in 2016, Joe and his wife moved to Madison to make it their home. Joe and Abby live in Verona where they have 2 amazing children (Cam & Everly), a dog (Thor), and a cat (Zeus). Joe enjoys playing sports, hiking, fishing, boating, gardening, traveling, swimming, sledding, and living life with his family!
