Miss Nissa has a degree in elementary education from UW-Superior. She started working at Hickory Hill Academy (HHA), formerly Kids Express Learning Center, in September of 2014, teaching in The Giving Tree classroom and leading the School Age Extended Care (SAEC) program. Prior to moving to the Madison area, Miss Nissa worked at the Boys & Girls Club in Wausau as the Program Coordinator for nine years. At the Boys & Girls club, Miss Nissa coordinated a middle school leadership group, a girls-only group and ran two other programs in collaboration with Marathon County Social Services.
Miss Nissa grew up in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, with her younger sister, mom and dad. In high school, Nissa was an active member of the cross county, basketball and track teams. Upon entering college, she joined the track team and was a member of the UW-Superior track team for four years.
In her free time, Miss Nissa enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing, boating and ice fishing in the winter. She is glad to be in the Madison area where she is closer to her family.
