CORGIVILLE FAIR NURSERY
Corgiville Fair Nursery is located in the lower level of The Dahlhouse and nurtures the youngest learners at Kids Express Learning Center. Up to eight children, six weeks to a year old, attend the nursery each day. Two teachers are devoted to the children's care, with a third teacher sharing time between the nursery and the adjoining toddler room.
The children enjoy daily stroller rides around the eight-acre campus, time on the Infant/Toddler playground, and plenty of floor time and cuddle time with their teachers. When weather restricts outdoor activities, the children enjoy a change of venue in Little Engine That Could; our smaller of two gyms, where the children have extra space for playing with large toys. Twice weekly, the children enjoy attending our Bucky Beats percussion music class.
Parents and teachers work together to develop individual sleeping, eating, and playtime plans for each baby, and teachers inform parents of the child's daily experiences, including nap, feeding, and diapering details. The nursery environment is rich with milestone moments, abundant enthusiasm, and genuine affection.
MISS MARISA
MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS TEACHER
Miss Marisa attended UW-Madison and UW-Green Bay. She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development. She has been caring for Hickory Hill (HHA), formerly Kids Express Learning Center, infants and toddlers since 2006. She “feels blessed to be here” and enjoys watching HHA's youngest learners grow and master new skills.
Marisa grew up in Shawano, Wisconsin with a sister, three brothers, a dog, a cat, and six goldfish that lived for over 12 years! She considered becoming a pediatrician, but teaching came so naturally she followed in the footsteps of her father and three aunts--all who were teachers.
Marisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and playing piano. She loves soaking up the sun on warm summer days or wrapping up in a blanket with a good book on cold, rainy days. Marisa also enjoys camping, traveling, and annual family vacations to areas of the U.S., including National Parks, Spring Training in Arizona, and the state of Hawaii. In high school, she traveled to Ireland with her school's orchestra and, while there, played concerts in the Irish castles. She has also visited St. Maarten and the Bahamas with her brothers, as well as D.C., Florida, San Diego, and Las Vegas with her friends.
Having inherited her father's enthusiasm for sports, Marisa loves Badger football and basketball, Packer games (which she attends with her father yearly) and Brewers games. She also loves playing sports, especially softball, or anything competitive that can get her adrenaline flowing.
