MISS KAELIA

FIRST GRADE

Miss Kaelia (pronounced Kah-Leah) earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in 2018. She has taught children six weeks to 12-years-old.  Miss Kaelia was inspired to become a teacher early in high school when she was babysitting a boy who was having a hard time with his math homework. When she explained what he needed to do in a new way, his eyes lit up, and he was able to finish the homework quickly and with 100% accuracy. That is when she decided to pursue teaching so she could help all children succeed and reach their potential.

Kaelia was born in Centralia, Illinois, but moved to Washington, Illinois, when she was very young. She lived in Illinois with her parents and younger sister until she moved here to Madison. She is very close to her family and tries to visit as often as she can. She loves swimming, playing frisbee golf, reading, playing board games, and watching movies. She also loves to color, listen to music, make cards and paper crafts, make sugar scrubs and bath bombs, and bake!
